We're seeking a passionate and professional Lifeguard Instructor certified by the American Red Cross (ARC) to join our team and lead the charge in training future lifesavers.As a Lifeguard Instructor, you'll not only teach lifesaving skills - you'll instill confidence, promote water safety, and serve as a role model for both new and experienced aquatics professionals.What You'll DoTeach & Certify: Deliver engaging, high-quality American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid classes in accordance with ARC standards.Prep Like a Pro: Coordinate and organize all course logistics - from setup and supplies to student materials and certifications.Inspire Safety: Motivate and mentor lifeguard candidates to take water safety seriously and develop the skills to respond to emergencies with confidence.Assess & Coach: Evaluate participant performance, provide constructive feedback, and uphold ARC evaluation criteria for passing.Stay Current: Maintain up-to-date ARC Instructor credentials and participate in professional development opportunities when available.Collaborate: Work closely with aquatics leadership, on-site teams, and other instructors to create a seamless, professional training experience.What You BringRequired: Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) certificationPreferred: Additional instructor certifications (e.g., CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers, First Aid, Water Safety Instructor)Strong communication and classroom management skillsAbility to engage, motivate, and lead diverse groups of learnersConfidence in the water and comfort, demonstrating physical skillsReliability, professionalism, and an upbeat, safety-first attitudeSchedule & AvailabilityFlexible schedule required - including evenings and weekends as classes demandSeasonal increases in course demand (spring/summer)Opportunities for ongoing and recurring course instructionWhy Join Us?Competitive compensationAll ARC instructor materials and training supplies providedOpportunity to grow into aquatic leadership or risk management rolesMeaningful work: every class you teach helps save livesReady to Lead from the Pool Deck?If you're an ARC-certified Lifeguard Instructor who thrives on structure, service, and splash-worthy impact - we want to hear from you!Apply now and help shape the next generation of water safety professionals!
